rusty

so, the holiday season is around the corner. seriously, if i think about it for too long, i start to panic. i make lists of all the things i need to get done to be ready. i obsess over what shows we're applying to and which we're not. i hope that a magic crystal ball will tell me what is going to be this year's best seller. i know i'm not alone. i had multiple conversations, today at our show, with other crafters and artists about the holiday schedule. its on our minds.

BUT we haven't done a show since may. MAY. i think about shows all the time that you'd think i wouldn't forget, you know, what i need to do a show. also, today's show snuck up on me. we both had to scurry about last minute(ish) making signs, pricing items, refilling our craft show apron with change...

we still managed to forget an important part of my display. we forgot a chair. we forgot food. we forgot to brush our teeth*. which could have been worse but since we're still on the cleanse and hadn't had coffee. while no coffee breathe is definitely a plus, let's review: NO COFFEE. i don't know that i've ever done a show without coffee. and to be clear, i never will again.

otherwise, it was a great show. lots of people walked away with great deals on pixelparty and cookoorikoo. plus, its always nice to catch up with the crafty crowd.

i just need to break out the craft show checklist before our next show and keep using it until i'm feeling a little less rusty.

*don't worry. we didn't share our dragon breathe. we ate more than the maximum daily allowance of sugarfree mentos and didn't manage to offend anyone. phew.
